
Zinnia is a Social Worker and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) currently. She is the Social Services Resource Coordinator for the City of Berea and the Victim’s Advocate for the City of Berea Police Department in Berea, Kentucky. In Zinnia’s role with the Police Department, she identifies social services provided by all governmental entities, private, for-profit, and non-profit organizations. She works diligently to provide services to those individuals who have been a victim of crime. Zinnia strives to develop programs and create initiatives that have a practical function within the community, hoping to bring about a quality-of-life change for citizens.
Mrs. Hensley has worked closely with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ), with the Department of Community Based Services DCBS, and with the Madison County School System.
Zinnia is an officer with the U.S. Army (formerly enlisted) with a 20+ year career, where she has utilized the skills she gained as a Soldier and Social Worker. She is a native Texan but was relocated to Madison County through the United States Army in 2012 and has worked to better her community, here, since her arrival.
